According to TechCrunch, the Disrupt NY applications are due by midnight tomorrow for the Disrupt NY Startup Battlefield competition. The competition will take place from April 29-May 1 in the Manhattan Center. Winners receive the Disrupt Cup, $50,000 and inevitably, excessive media coverage.
Last year’s winner, UberConference – enabling free conference calls with a visual interface — ended up securing a $15 million Series B funding from Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures.
According to TechCrunch, participants should include as much multimedia as possible – including videos and Powerpoint slides – and the judges “reserve the right not to review applications without video demos.” So get those cameras rolling.
To participate in the event, startups must be live for less than three months before the event.
Tickets for non-participants go for $1795.
