Alloy Digital Raises $30 Million to Expand YouTube Empire

Alloy Digital, a multi-channel YouTube network and digital media company, has received $30 million in a funding round led by ABS Partners, according to Tubefilter.

Alloy’s channels include Smosh – see the comedy video below — which recently became the most subscribed channel on Youtube, and generated $10 million in advertising revenue last year. Other popular Alloy channels include ClevverTV — a celebrity gossip/style channel — and gaming channel Escapist, totaling over 400 million monthly views.

Following off Nerdist Industry’s partnership with AMC Networks, original content comedy channels seem to be a hot property at the moment. Smosh even offers a Spanish version of their videos — and the dubbing’s not shabby at all. Better watch your back, Univision!
