TechStars Opens Its (Factory) Doors in Austin, Texas

Brad Feld of the Foundry Group announced on his blog yesterday that TechStars would be opening its latest program in Austin, with the final deadline for applications on June 30th.

Jason Seats will serve as Managing Director. Seats is the previous founder of Slicehost, which was acquired by Rackspace in 2008, and will lead the TechStars team out of Capital Factory in downtown Austin. The Factory is supposedly the “most inspiring office space in Austin” for startups, and was originally founded as a space for entrepreneurs by Josh Baer and Bill Boebel.
